5.) Typically Teradici, or your headset (Microphone Array) should be the default device

Speak into your microphone and see which device is picking up sounds- You should see green bars going up and down when you talk

6.) If no device is picking up sounds, make sure your mute button is not on. Unplug the device and plug back in, if issues continue log out of vmware and verify the microphone is working outside vmware. Once verified you can log back in.

7.) Right click on the default device and select properties

  • In the Microphone Properties box, select the Listen tab
  • Check the “listen to this device box” and then Apply
  • Speak into your microphone, you should be able to hear yourself. When you are done testing make sure you uncheck “listen to this device” and hit apply again. If you could not hear yourself repeat steps to test the other microphones until you find one that you do hear yourself, and works as expected

8.)  Make sure the device is selected as the default device

9.) If no device is working as expected, test your settings outside of vmware to see if the issue continues there or not. If issues continue outside of vmware, you may need to replace the headset.

10.) Check the softphone to ensure it is using the same default devices.

11.) Preform a test call

12.) If issue continues follow the steps in “clearing the app data” and try again

Outside VmWare

Windows 10:

  • Follow the same steps as noted above. *You will not see ‘Teradici’ as an option, just make sure your headset is the default headset

Windows 11:

  • Right click the speaker option and select ‘Sound Settings’
  • Scroll down until you see Advanced Sound Settings
  • Select “More Sound Settings”
  • Follow the same steps as noted above. *You will not see ‘Teradici’ as an option, just make sure your headset is the default headset
