Changing the VMWare Protocol
Changing the VMware Display Protocol Open vm ware and connect to the appropriate sever address, and enter your credentials. In the upper right corner, select “settings” Select the Client-REP option from the left side panel, yours may be different from the one in the screenshot. It will depend on which client environment you are trying to log into. Click the drop down menu under “Connect Via” and select PCoIP From here you can click the back arrow in the upper left corner and connect to your machine.

Password Reset
*If you cannot log into vmware with your current password you will need to call the helpdesk or follow the steps in the Fresh Service Article: Self-Service Password Reset * 1.) Press the Ctrl+Alt+Delete button from the vmware tool bar, Or hold down the Ctrl,Alt and Delete keys on the keyboard. *If on a computer other than a thin client, you’ll need to click cancel to exit the menu from your own computer 2.) Select Change a password 3.) Type in your old password in the first field, and then the new password you are going to use in the second and third fields. Lastly Press the arrow key. The New password must be 12 characters long, include one upper case and one lower case letter, and either a number or special character (such as !,@,#,$). It cannot contain any personal information such as your first or last name, and cannot be a password previously used within the last 3 months. *Note that in the username, it shows CONTACTUSINC\username. If it does not, this is the menu for your computer and not VmWare.

Getting prompted for a product key
Sign into work or school account on the desktop Getting prompted for Product Key in VmWare 1.) Open start menu in bottom left corner and select settings from the right side 2.) Select Accounts 3.) Select Access Work or school 4.) If you are not signed in, hit connect and log in with your contact us credentials 5.) If your account is already showing, click on your account and select disconnect *a pop up will appear asking if you are sure, select yes* 6.) Re-add your account 7.) Open your office desktop app, you should not be prompted for the production key
